Quick Look: The Next Big Thing

The art style kind of reminds me of Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky. I absolutely love adventure games and still think that the best plots have often come from them. Watching adventure games isn't particularly entertaining, but actually playing them can be very rewarding. This looked like a very interesting adventure game.

I found that depressed robot absolutely hilarious.  I might actually have to pick this game up if the writing continues to be that good.

That sad robot near the end had me chuckling out loud, might have to check this out.

If you like the looks of this, don't forget about the Runaway trilogy. There's some rough edges, but it's the adventure series that made this dev famous. At this point if you're still interested in adventure games enough to go outside the realm of Telltale, you should check those out.

I dont ever say this because i dont want to be "that guy" but... I'd like to see an Endurance Run of this. 

Something about the voice acting is extremely grating to me.

This looks pretty good for an adventure game. Is it on Mac? Oh it is on Mac on Steam. But maybe I'll wait for a sale.

weird dialogue

Feels like an old CD-ROM game. The developer's Spanish by the way.

I love how this game looks and animates! I think I'm going to have to check it out.

Wow the writing in this is effing terrible.

The writing is really good and I love the art style (despite the wonky animation), tempted to pick this up when it's cheaper.

It seems that every Ryan and Vinny QL starts with them humming a song. Always a good sign.

I love the insane dialogue in this, especially sad robot, that was pretty hilarious. Seems like a pretty solid adventure game, I think I'll have to check this out.

Reused dialogue is reused! Aaargh!

Was this originally released in another language? It feels like the comedy is getting lost in translation, and the dialogue is a bit stilted.

The art style looks like the Carmen Sandiego adventure games I played as a kid. I am very much into this. Ayo.

One of my favorite games of all time is an adventure game, but looking at this now, I can barely want to play something like this.

So you ask about the password but I can see this. These point and click adventures are a lot more fun when you casually challenge a friend. Me, my little brother, and my dad all played the Curse of Monkey Island 3 (The best one) together and when me and my dad got about half way thru and my brother was about 1/4th of the way thru. Then one night he mysteriously caught up to our exact position, and somehow his diffictulty changed from easy to hard. Yea but he promises he did not copy our game he he.
