The movie was bad, but in an aswesome sort of way! I thought the FPS part was awesome just because it's so ridicilous. It was exactly what I expected out of a Doom movie, mindless action, stupid story etc. Anything else would not have felt right.

It's like porn, you are not supposed to care about the characters or the story it's just about the action and as such I thought Doom was totally rad! It's the same with The Fast and the Furious movies, they should be judged as car-porn and as such it's the best thing ever!

That FPS sequence really wasn't that bad. I mean the movie was terrible, but the FPS sequence was kind of interesting. Something new in a predictable silly movie.

i loathe this movie on a gargantuan level personally.  keep up the good work with TANG.

I think the first person sequence is the best aspect of the movie.

If you think about it for more than a second you realise its an awful awful movie, but if you turn your brain off and don't expect any spectacular acting or anything else you'd expect from a good movie, its a lot of fun. Especially when the Rock goes nuts and starts with the whole TKing thing and spiting out lines like "Mutinous insurrection is punishable by death" and "I need soldiers. I don't need anything else but "soldiers"".

That ending was great. Man, I'm sooo glad I didn't see that movie.

Did NO one but me notice that the Rock did refer to the BFG  as "BIG FUCKING GUN!!!"  The computer does call it bio force gun.. but Rock calls it big fucking gun!!!

Doom is an ok movie. Not the worst but a casual movie, not to be taken seriously.

Screw Doom the movie and screw Doom 3.

I feel like I have to contribute. I study genetics and I quite enjoy when movies incorporate it instead of inexplicable supernatural phenomena. And even though I agree with Ryan that having genetic code that defines your level of evil is a long stretch it is worth noting that scientists are looking for all kind of explanations for various sort of human behavior. For example a genetic cause for alcoholism is being studied. The matter of the fact is that there are still so many gaps in our knowledge of how living organisms and humans in particular function that it's a good mechanism for explaining extreme abnormal human alterations.
By the way, I'm one of the few people that loved the first Hulk movie, partially because of the genetic back story that they invented.
Doom was hilarious in my opinion. Stupid Fun Time!!!

Monsters that don't depend on CGI, like the ones people are wearing suits really look bad and rubbery. Also, yeah, the premise from Hell being stripped away was really the plug on this movie.

But... before anything... come on, making a movie off DOOM? Seriously... some stuff don't translate well into different media.

This is pretty much the ultimate guilty pleasure movie.

The only thing that bothered me about this movie was that they had to kill off the last remaining black guy.
Otherwise: guilty pleasure!
