I never knew that second song they played for Ryan was from Spartacus, I'd always known it from the  Hudsucker Proxy and assumed it was composed by Carter Burwell.

@Auxin: I used the multimeter. I found out (much too late to fix the problem) that new pennies don't have enough copper to actually work in potato batteries. Unfortunately, I built the copper side of the circuit first, then did the zinc side, and didn't realize it wasn't going to work until the MK tourney started. But, the show must go on, and a 32-cell potato battery is kind of impressive, even if it doesn't work.

They're doing it wrong when they're putting an LED directly across a voltage source. The thing probably blew out, even at 1.5 V.
