I don't want one of three comments on this video to be a complaint so I'll say this; I'm really glad you all are still doing GOTY podcasts. These have been really fun and we're even getting a GB@nite stream this week? Hell yeah!

Now for the complaint: I can't believe you all just immediately agreed Exoprimal is a b-game. Is it because it has dinosaurs and dinosaurs make games inherently goofy? It's Capcom's attempt at an Overwatch. They wanted to make something with enough of a semblance to a 5v5 competitive shooter so lots of people will stick around to spend too much money on dumb cosmetics. I would say any live service doesn't qualify for a "b-game" since live service implies a level of investment and expected ROI that b-games aren't made with. Robocop is definitely a good example of one though.

Shoutout to the guy in twitch chat during this quick look (and probably most quick looks) who was harping on Jeff for being too negative. This game is boring AF. There are so many combat/parkour moves that other zombie games give you in the first hour that Dying Light 2 locks behind many hours of grinding. It's also just another ubisoft-formula open world game with a generic zombie fiction story.

Pray for me, I've asked for a refund after playing it for 4.7 hours.

I think the worst (or best?) part of this experience was going to the steam front page and finding out Ghostwire Tokyo comes out at the end of March. Had no idea that game was so close. If I get my $60 back, I know where it's going.

I also had no idea there was a super bowl until after it was over. It was kinda nice.

Imagine getting into Giantbomb in mid-2020 and seeing videos like this and thinking "Wtf is that studio?!"

I don't read every guest list and I never heard of Mega Ran but I'm glad I clicked on this one, lol.

Most of my year was spent playing games from last year or so. Hunt: Showdown, Escape From Tarkov, the handful of games that were on EGS for a year before coming to steam...

I had to cheat a little to get 10 games; I didn't play Fuser but I still think its fantastic and will get it someday. I def played more than 9 games from 2020 but there were a few that I just wouldn't rank due to not liking them enough (Amnesia Rebirth, Iron Harvest, Moon RPG). I might've put DOOM higher but everytime I think about it I just remember how I still can't buy the damn soundtrack.

I'm racking my brain and... I don't think I turned on my PS4 at all? For the whole year? That sounds wild to me but I'm pretty sure its true.
